Things to Work on in 2013

Things that I plan to work on this year in random order:

Lose weight: This is obvious or I wouldn't be here.  I'm not going to say that I need/want to lose X number of pounds by a certain date.  I think that would be setting myself up for failure.  I will try my best and any loss is a great loss.

Exercise: Exercise no less than 3 times a week and hopefully work my way back up to 6 days a week, like I used to do.

Less negativity/more positivity:  The fatter I got, the more negative I became (mainly about myself).  I believe these two go hand in hand.  I want to have a positive attitude not only for myself, but to be more pleasant to others around me and hopefully inspire someone along the way.

Continue working on my spirituality:  Continue working on my relationship with The Lord Jesus Christ. He blesses my daily and I want to make Him proud.

Express Gratitude:  Everyday I name off several things that I am grateful/thankful for.  I want to continue doing this.

Appearance:  Take better care of my appearance so that I feel better.  When I look good, I feel good. Don't get me wrong, I always wear makeup, fix my hair and groom daily; what I'm talking about is taking better care of myself such as treating myself to a salon hair color or a nice face cream, wear heels even though I may not feel like it in the morning, wear makeup even if I'm not leaving the house, look good even if I'm running to the store for something quick (You never know when I might meet the man of my dreams.)  You get the idea...

Be kinder to myself:  I think we're all guilty of not doing this.  There are so many things that are good about ourselves but we only seem to focus on the negative.  In fact, most people probably don't even notice the negative things until we point them out.  Come to think of it, I think we are pretty amazing ;)

Quit swearing:  Self explainitory.

Eat healthier:  Eat healthier and pay more attention to what I'm putting into my body.  I would also like to discover new foods that I've never tried before.

Whew! I think that's enough to get me started, don't you?
