Good news. I've been pushing myself hard with exercise and I've cut way back on food and I've lost I've lost 5.2 pounds since September 1 when I started the September Self-Challenge. Yay! I weighed in at 229.8 this morning.
I decided to do something to really push myself because for the past two months I've been yo-yo-ing, and I could see the scale slowly starting to go back up (about 5 pounds up!). Oh, Hell no! Hence, the challenge was born.
I'm going to see just what I can do this month. I would LOOOVE to get out of the 220's - lofty goal, but I'm going for it.
I set mini-challenges for myself throughout the day:
- To drink more water
- To not snack in the afternoon
- To not watch TV until I exercise
- To not eat anything after dinner
I'm also keeping a log, as a kind of experiment, to see if I lose any inches, and to see how my skin, sleep and mood are affected. It will be an interesting month.
As for today - the sun is shining, I'm alive and life is good :)
GREAT job, Sunny! Yep, making it a mental challenge/game with myself, ALWAYS works. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gwen! Strange that it works that way...
DeleteHi Sunny, just two things:
ReplyDelete"Hey, whatever works, right?"

ReplyDeleteLike many would say, it really all starts with the mind.
Great attitude.

DeleteYou are awesome Sunny! I'm so proud of you!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. I'm trying...
ReplyDeleteGood job, Sunny! I've heard that brushing your teeth right after you finish dinner can help stopping nighttime snacking.
ReplyDeleteIt works! I've tried it :)
