I lost .8 this week. I'll take it.
Not much to report on the weight loss front. I didn't exercise all weekend but I kept busy and on the go between cleaning and shopping. I did ALOT of shopping over the weekend - I didn't emotional eat but I filled the "void" with shopping. (Is one as bad as the other?) I bought myself some workout clothes and I bought alot of stuff for the house. I switched out curtains, moved some furniture around, put out new accessories, bought a new comforter and bedskirt. I'm feathering my nest and it feels wonderful. The house feels fresh and it's so girly. Lord, help me if/when I find a man and have to put his "man stuff" in my house, lol. As for now, I'm enjoying a prissy, girly house.
Tonight is walking with walking buddy again. My new shoes gave me a blister. I think they may be a little too big. Damn. I need a half size and they don't have half sizes in that shoe. Too late to take them back either since I wore them outside. Oh well, thicker socks, maybe?
I TOLD you fluffing your home would be a good (emotional) thing to do! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd if you find the right mind, we won't mind some girly. My bedroom is still purple. And that came after he did. LOL
sorry about the blister. I'd still check with the store; they have to allow for actually WEARING them. I've been able to take them back after wearing. It's like taking back a top because it shrunk too much or bled in cold water; still not acceptable. ;)
Well, if he's the perfect man for you, then he will love the girly frills and whatnots. I love redoing my nest; I 'm a total nester as well, and DH is too, so there's hope for other manly men.
ReplyDeleteShopping is a good replacement for the food, as long as you don't overspend or buy things you will never use or need. Otherwise, I say shop on!
I wish I could girly-up a spot in the house for myself, but my bf probably would not be happy about that. :D
ReplyDeleteIf you can't return/exchange the shoes, I'd say to try putting some cloth first aid tape on your foot in the spot where it rubs (after the blister heals). I have a pair of shoes that are so comfortable and supportive EXCEPT the back of the shoe comes too far up the back of my foot in the achilles area and rubs it (the shoe isn't notched out like it is on most sneakers). So now I just put on the cloth tape and there's no problem. It's hard for me to find comfy shoes, so I really wanted to make this pair work!
