HAPPY SPRING!

HAPPY GLORIOUS FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!!

Today I'm posting first thing before I dive into the mountain of work that's waiting for me.  I don't know what broke loose at work but there is no end in sight.

This morning the scale was down again and I weighed in at 251.4.  Next goal is to push through to the 240s.  I've been doing really well tracking food and sticking to my exercise schedule.  Last evening walking buddy and I walked in high winds and I'm proud that we did it.  She was walking slow and I felt like I was pulling her along and she kept saying that she couldn't keep up.  We did 2 miles and she was ready to stop.  This evening if she wants to stop and I feel like I can keep going I'll just go on without her (we drive separately).  I can't let her hold me back.  I do feel like I need to keep walking with her becasue she won't do it on her own.  That's all fine and good but I have to put me first.

I'm off to see what you all have been up to.  Make it a great day!

  1. Hooray on the scale showing some progress. And yes keep going without your friend. It's wonderful that you go with her to keep her going, but you can do that and still do what you need to do. (and who knows maybe she'll decide she can keep going just because you do.)

  2. Congrats on the new loss! Sunny, you are not responsible for her, and you cannot let her hold you back. She either gets inspired by you and pushes further, or you will have to part exercise ways. Stop being a good friend to others before you take care of yourself, sistah! :: hugs :: :D

  4. Great progress! Good for you knowing that even if your walking buddy wants to stop sooner than, that you will continue and get the amount of walking in that you want. Hopefully it will inspire her to do a bit more every time and build up her stamina/fitness. :)

  5. Just showing up and walking with her, even if you have to leave her behind at some point, is a huge benefit for both of you. Good job--I love your dedication and commitment and now that spring is here along with DST, you're going to be unstoppable.
