This getting back on track stuff is hard after so long. I know exactly what I need to do but my old ways keep calling me back. I must stay focused and keep strong. It is especially hard after work when I'm so hungry, I just want to grab something quick instead of waiting until I cook a healthy meal. Back to the planning out the meals and carrying healthy snacks to tide me over. I'm going to look up some low fat crockpot meals online.
Karen said for me to remember how good I felt when I was losing the weight before to keep me motivated. She is right. I loved the feeling that I had before when I would be so excited to wake up in the morning just so I could get on the scale to see if I'd lost any more weight (this is when the weight was coming off nicely). I don't know how to describe it, it was almost like a high or something. I want that feeling back again.
I'm going to WW tomorrow morning to face the music/scale and to learn the new PointsPlus 2012 program. What a pain in the ass that they keep changing it but I know that it works so I will give it a go again.
TGIF everyone!
I don't know how long ago you were on weight watchers. If your familiar with the points plus system. The points plus 2012 is no different really. All the points are the same as points plus. The only real difference is..,. If you feel your recommended points are to high or low for you. You can change it. The lowest your allowed to go down to now is 26 instead of the prior 29. If you are not familiar with points plus. Then it may take some time to learn the new points system. But,within a week or 2 you will have a good idea of what the value of yourgrope is! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteBy grope.... I mean food haha sorry a little typo
ReplyDeleteUnskinny - thanks for the heads up on WW. I feel a little better about it now. I lost 60 pounds on WW with the old plan. I learned the PP plan but never stuck with it long enough to lose anything. I feel better about it now.
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration. I look at your story, and it sounds so much like me. Getting down to a new low of weight loss, and then presto! I get tired of dieting, or tired of exercising and I self-sabotage. I haven't been able to get below 186 in years!
ReplyDeleteI know that it is possible, and that I will do it. We can all do it... if we stick to it. But that's usually the hardest part of all. :)
Big hugs & God bless you on your journey!
Hi Sunnydayz! I am so proud you are back and working towards relosing what you regained! I suppose we have all see-sawed that way sometime. What I wonder is how many people --not me, yet-- ever discovered the way to foresee the moment when we will fall off the wagon. If we knew that one piece of cake would make us waste so much effort, would we say ok to it and eat it? But how CAN we know? I read something yesterday that was an eye-opener: it is easier to refuse the first bite than the second. Yes, we have a lot in common, the see-sawing too. I'll visit you every day, so don't stop blogging!
ReplyDeleteSusana - I believe that about the first bite being hard to resist than the second. I think once your body gets a taste of the sugar or carbs or whatever, then the cravings kick in.
ReplyDeleteI'll be interested to see what you think. I went to one meeting last January to check out the new plan. I had done the original points program maybe a decade ago. I thought it was interesting but just couldn't get into counting points. But the good thing is there are many, many websites now with recipes with the point calculated for you!
ReplyDeleteI agree with having an additional healthy snack that's quick and easy when you get home.
ReplyDeleteCUTIES are an awesome snack and only like 40 calories :) Probably 0 points when it comes to WW or PP :)
